Nick Guilliam
Where are you from?
I was born in Washington State, and grew up in Northern Alabama. I became a Floridian eight years ago.
What is your education and personal training background?
I am an International Sports Science Association Certified Personal Trainer
Certified in CPR and AED through (ISSA)
Currently working to get my Specialization Certifications in Nutrition, Bodybuilding, and Strength and Conditioning
What influenced you to become a personal trainer?
I started working out in my early twenties with no real knowledge or guidance. I just knew I loved the feeling I got from lifting weights. Eventually, I reached out to a friend who was a personal trainer, and working with them completely changed my perspective. I began to understand how to train smarter, not just harder. That experience inspired me to become a trainer myself. I want to help guide people the way my friend helped me. To give them direction, support, and confidence in their fitness journey. It’s incredibly rewarding to see someone start training just because they signed up, then, as they improve, show up because it becomes a hobby they enjoy.
What's your favorite part about BayFit?
It's a great community gym for people of all fitness levels. I've been a member for over five years, and I've met many interesting people, made a few good friends, and had some seriously intense workouts.
What do you enjoy doing when you're not at the gym or working?
I enjoy spending time with my wife trying random sports, hanging at the beach, and traveling. I also love animals so I spend a lot of time with my dogs.
